Cider Saunter Prize Flight
If you visit 18 pubs from the cider saunter (including lucky dips) and send in your entry form, you will be included in a prize draw. One lucky winner will have the opportunity of a free one hour pleasure flight around the Nottingham area in a light aircraft.
Here are the details:
The flight offered is a one hour sightseeing flight in a PA-28 light aircraft from Nottingham City Airport (Tollerton). This will usually result in around 40 minutes airborne and can include local area highlights such as Wollaton Hall, football and cricket grounds, and can continue out as far as Chatsworth Hall and Chesterfield.
Your flight will be arranged with a local pilot and you can ask to see certain sights although it can’t be guaranteed. The flight must be arranged at a mutually convenient time between you and your pilot, bearing in mind aircraft hire slots are easier to come by midweek.

The flight is for up to two people however if you wish to take a friend then your combined weight must be less than 30st/190kg.
Please be aware this is not a trial lesson – you will not have the opportunity to take the controls – just enjoy the view and the experience. If you then consider learning to fly, ask your pilot for details.
Things to bear in mind
The flight may be cancelled at short notice due to bad weather (rain, wind, low cloud, fog, snow), aircraft unserviceability, illness or other force majeure and rearranged at the earliest opportunity.
A certain amount of mobility is required to climb onto the wing and through the door.
The prize is the flight as stated – no cash or other alternative is offered. The draw will be made at the August Branch Meeting.
No cider or perry is to be consumed during the flight!
