Annual Beer Census 2009 – 2015
The aim of the census was to check the pubs in Nottingham on a single day to see what beers they have on and at what price. The idea was over the years the results would show trends of beer being sold and prices. The census ran from 2009 to 2015
The census results showed that Nottingham had a large range of beer and ciders in its excellent pubs. On a single day in 2014, 334 different beers from 107 breweries were available in the 133 pubs surveyed. Last year’s results showed another increase in the range of beer available. In fact, we saw that year-on-year, choice was continuing to improve. In fact, choice of where to drink was seemingly improving too, as there were several new establishments on the later year’s census.
